ANNA RUSSELL

ARTIST MANAGER, AR MANAGEMENT

Anna Russell is an Artist Manager, consultant to small music enterprises & artists, and founder of AR Artist Management.

Anna is particularly passionate about helping new and independent artists move their music careers forward. Wanting to ensure that such artists have access to the guidance they so badly need, she has created The Virtual Manager Podcast and The Virtual Manager membership site for unmanaged and unsigned artists.

She has also grown a huge online network of independent music artists within The Artist Network – her closed Facebook group – in which she provides free tips and tools for its members.

Anna’s professional career started when she joined Groove Armada’s management team – fresh from completing her (1st class) BA Hons in Popular Music at Napier University, Edinburgh.

Her years with the globally successful dance act included work on their own annual festival Lovebox, a ground-breaking brand partnership with Bacardi, and their sixth studio album Black Light, released in 2010 and Grammy nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Not to mention various domestic and international tours, countless headline festival appearances, and never-ending Ibiza seasons!

One of Anna’s key roles with Groove Armada was sourcing the featured artists for their records and the vocalists who helped make their live show, which led to further work as a vocal talent scout for high-profile clients such as X Factor, All Together Now (BBC1), & Britain’s Got Talent.

With her focus now firmly back on artist management, Anna is excited to be pioneering a new management business model, allowing her to support thousands of artists at a time.
